Derby Market Hall

Derby Market Hall

Derby is a city with big ambitions and we recognise diversification is key to our future success. That's why we're re-imagining our city centre with culture at its heart and Derby Market Hall will be a key part of achieving this.

The transformed Market Hall will bring together the best of the region’s independent shopping, eating, drinking and entertainment. It will once again be Derby’s beating heart where people choose to come together to enjoy the buzz of the city. It will be a hub for creatives, makers and traders, building on the city’s heritage of innovation and industry. It will be a flagship, vibrant destination that will attract visitors from the region and beyond.

Wander into the beautifully restored Derby Market Hall - alive with the sound of competitive (but cordial) socialising and family banter, the air filled with tempting aromas from the (justifiably) rave reviewed street food eateries.

If you just want to pick up something for dinner, there are fishmongers, butchers, bakers and seasonal fruit and veg stalls.

A stroll around the inside perimeter stalls will reveal a treasure trove of independent Derbyshire businesses selling clothing, jewellery, homeware, art, music and more.

On the weekends, the permanent traders and street food kitchens are joined by an alternating market. Catch the rotating monthly vintage clothes flea, craft market, and bakers’ markets which spill outside and join the Derbians enjoying the lively green landscaped forecourt in Osnabruck Square.
